The Crispy Chicken Wing Batter is my secret weapon for the crispiest, crunchiest wings every time. Specially formulated for a light, golden coating that stays crispy, even after being sauced, this batter delivers the perfect texture—crunchy outside, tender inside. Whether deep frying or air frying (I recommend smoked then fried!), it creates an irresistible finish that holds up through every dip and bite.
Made with a unique blend of ingredients, it ensures perfect adhesion for a crispy, flavorful crunch. Paired with our seasonings or glazes, it takes your wings to a championship level.
Just whisk with cold water, dunk, and fry—detailed instructions are on the back of the bag.

We just made these for dinner. We bought the kit that came with the batter, Sweet Heat and Citrus glaze. Sadly our smoker just decided to die as we were preparing to smoke the wings so we ended up baking them and then deep fried them in avocado oil. They came out absolutely amazing, despite not being able to smoke them. We will definitely be doing these again. Thank you Susie for the wonderful recipe.
Because this chicken wings recipe starts on the smoker I follow it through to doing the batter, and deep fry. My wife loves this more than any other smoked or grilled chicken wing (or drumsticks) I’ve ever made before. We’ve had this recipe 3 times now and it turns out the same every time! So now we are inviting over our closest friends to share this experience with them!
I've used it twice now. The first time with wings exactly as the instructions say to. the next time (Masters Party) I used legs, thighs & breasts that I first marinated in a buttermilk mixture over night. Then smoked, battered and fried per the instructions. Absolutely delicious! I kid you not. I had people telling me it was the best fried chicken they ever had.
Thanks,
John
